"Don't touch me"I mumbled and hugged my knees tighter."Zayne...Zayne is different."

I sniffed and bit my knee harder."What changed him that much?The Zayne I met was funny,caring,easy to love...This....This isn't him"

"Its hard for him, you know? He will probably never change from now on. He told ou it was his destiny, and not yours. He has the whole shadow cabin to lead and a whole pack of wolves. Its not easy. 34 people! 32 wolves! Its alot, Savvy. Were getting other elemantalist children day by day. We'll be about 100 children in 3 months or so." He said.

"I know,I know!I just thought he would be good to me.B-But he just took all I had...And it's over...So simple"

Suddendly the door unlocked, and Zayne came in, looking coldly at Savannah. "Gabriel, you can go now, Im sorry dude. I was overreacting."

"Its okay man. Were best buds. Im still your third in command, right?" Gabriel said.

"Course, Gabe." He shut the door when Gabriel was out. "Now to you, Savannah." He breathed out. He spat on the ground next to her. "Youll stay in here for a week. We put barbed wire fences around camp so you will never escape. So be a good girl, or I personally will kill you. I would, you know. I would do it right know.
But im not that cold hearted." He got out something behind his back. A puppy.

"Maddie, go to your owner, girl." He said with the old smile on his face.

"Maddie!"I said cheerfully as the puppy ran to me."Zayne..."I whispered,looking up at him."Thank you"

He snorted. "Be good, or she will be raised by wolves. She'll Be a wild dog then, isnt that great?" He grinned swettly down to her.

Then he breathed outwards. "Savannah, I love you so much. More than anything in the world. I wish I could prove it to you, but I cant. But I hate you too. I want you to know, that I cant be youre zayne all the time. I have to b MY Zayne too. The one who leads 34 children."

I nodded and hugged the dog."I understand"

He grinned. "You actually believed me?!" he said and laughed. "Stupid."

"Wha-Y-You'll take Maddie?"I asked and hugged the dog tighter."Please,don't!"

"She will live. But as my dog, not yours." He put a soft collor around maddies neck and picked her up. "Alright!" He called. A few kids came in and pulled Savannah out.

"Thanks, you guys. Ill take her on a little tour."

The Camp was now completely different, with some stick hutches, a large are with tents, a big fire in the middle, a shed with weopons peeking out, A volleyball are kids were rebuilding, a place with picnic tables and food, and a huge metal walls with barbed wire and large gates. It looked like a warzone. Most of the kids were clean, but some were grimy from hunting animals. Some children were sitting round the fire, roasting pieces of pig or birds.

"Please,don't take Maddie for me.You took everything!Please,let me have her..."I begged and snifed

He slapped her. "Be a good girl." He reminded her. "You have to go by my orders now."

I whimpered and nodded,wiping my tears from my eyes

"Good job, Savvy, Good job." He said and looked at her. "We need to train you first."

I bit my bottom lip and nodded wordlessly

"But before..." He said. "Come with me."

I nodded and looked up at him before following

Zayne kissed her passionately and waved as she left to go to sword practice.
