Infarmary Time.

"Fine." He opened the door to a small room in the house, which led to a small bunk bed, a few shelves and a table. "This will be your room then, Ileana." He said it with no expression at all on his face.

He shut the door behind her. Hot tears started streaming down his face. He clenched his fists. "Fuck." He whispered. "She hates me know."

I sighed and wiped my tears away before heading to my desk.I found a journal in the drawer and started writing.

He locked the door, hatred pulsing through him. "Im sorry."

I heard the sound of the locker and looked up.I sighed again and let out a quiet sob,tears spilling on the white page in front of me.

Sage heard crying and unlocked the door, coming inside. He looked at her, like a father would look at his daughter if she was upset. He wanted to come over to her, comfort her, hug her, kiss her. But he hesitated. He let her see the hesitation, to let him know that he was... well, different. From now on, anyway. He would have to care for her. Giver her food, protect her. He thought about what she would say to that. "I can fight for myself!" she would say. That was true, sage thought, she is a real fighter. But she would need him very often.

I looked up at him and sniffed."S-Sage?"

"Ileana." He said her name, and the word felt familiar in his mouth. He stared at her, looking into her pretty eyes. He turned around again.

"Sage..Sage,please,don't go...I can't take it anymore,I need some explanations..."I said before he could go and got up."Please?"

He growled queitly. "No." He walked out of the room, closing and locking the door behind him.

I sighed and messed my hair before going to the bed and curling into a ball under the blanket

A few hours later Sage stepped into Ileanas room. He had his nightclothes on, and he slipped into her bed, cuddling with her. "Hey, baby."

I frowned but stood silent."Hi"I murmured.

"Hey, I wanted to ask you something." He said quietly.

"Sure,go ahead"I mumbled and scratched my neck."What is it?"

"Um... Ileana... Do you love me?" He asked, and bit his lip. he shuffled away from her a bit.

I turned around to face him and stared for a while."Yes,Sage,I do love you"I finally said after a few more minutes

"I love you too, Ileana." He said quietly. "But only if you promise me that you love me even if im not a... man."

I laughed and nodded."I promise.Can I...Can I have a hug?"

"Sure." He said and hugged her.

I smiled and nuzzled his neck."Thank you,Sage"

He smiled at her. He cuddled up against her.

"Will you stay?"I mumbled

"I need to protect you, okay?"
